Island peak climbing is one of the most popular trekking climbing peaks
in Everest region. Island peak is also recognized as Imja Tse peak. Island
peak top is appealing and stunning with a highly icy west face mounting
from the Lhotse Glacier. The Island peak itself is the addition of the
South Ridge of Lhotse alienated by a small col. The addition of this ridge
sliding south-west is the part of the usual way of climb and guides to the
South Summit. Island Peak climbing not only offers a pleasant mount but
also offers several of the diverse impressive surroundings of Himalayas in
the Khumbu region together with the Mt. Everest, Mt.Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse,
Lhotse Middle Peak and Lhotse Shar create a partly loop in the north.
Before mountaineering to Island peak, you will trek up to Everest Base Camp
then certainly explore Kalapattar and Gokyo Ri. After getting relaxed,
feeling physically confident and acclimatized, then head up towards Island
Peak. The usual course for Island Peak climbing is South East edge &
South-West adge in general; the Island Peak base camp is placed between
Imja Tse and the creative moraine of the Imja Glacier.
